After church this morning we went to our grandson's basketball game and then I came home and made this bag with scraps left over from the quilt I made my sister a few years ago for her 50th birthday. I decided to keep the bag for myself and use it as my yarn bag. I love how it turned out. I actually used a reverse quilting method to make this bag.
Just kidding about the Super Bowl...I really knew the game was today. Our son, Kyle, and his girlfriend, Julia, came over for an impromptu Super Bowl party. Not really a party, just a reason to eat what we bought at Claro's yesterday and play cards and take more photos. Kyle is really good with the camera and he has been helping me since I got the camera from Mr. Romance at Christmas. But, sadly, he and Julia will be going back to Brazil on Wednesday, where he is an oral surgery resident. Kyle has really taught me so much about photography in the few weeks he was home. They were really supposed to leave last Wednesday, but had problems with Julia's visa at the airport, so they have been on the phone for 2 days straight, with two trips to the Brazilian consulate in, Los Angeles, in 2 days, and finally have a flight on Wednesday. I hope they will not have any more problems.
Here's a little montage of some of the fun we had today.
