We arrived in Costa Rica early this morning. It is slightly overcast and a little cool, but I am sure it will warm up.
Today is one of the days we were looking forward to the most, the zip line tour through the jungle. But it seems the only zip line in store for me will be a zip line to the toilet. Yep, my stomachache has turned into full-blown flu or food poisoning. I cannot leave the stateroom. I convinced Mr. Romance that I would be fine without him here and to go with Debi and Greg on the tour. There is no reason for both of us to miss this once in a lifetime experience.
Wow! I am so bummed. I was actually going to be adventurous for once in my life.
I will report back after the group returns to tell me what I missed.
They returned after a four-hour excursion. Mr. R said it was fun and Debi said at times it was scary, especially when you were coming into the landing platforms, she thought at times she was approaching too fast. They said the jungle was not as lush as expected…it’s the dry season plus they have had a drought.
I think they told me all the bad things because their photos look really fun. As I said previously, I forgot the cord to connect the point and shoot camera to the laptop, so I cannot post any photos, now. To be continued on the vacation wrap up, after we get home.
I started feeling better in the afternoon. We played bridge for a few hours and then ate a leisurely dinner outside around the pool. I am a horrible bridge player, but enjoy learning a new game. Greg tells me you can keep learning this game your whole life and never really know all there is to know., that made me feel so much better.
The ship shows “Movies Under the Stars” every night and last night was such a gorgeous night, we stayed out and watched The Next Three Days with Russell Crowe and Elizabeth Banks. It was really good.
