Java Stars

I finally finished my Java Stars quilt.
You can find the tutorial here on the Moda Bake Shop blog.
It was designed by KarrieLyne. You can find her blog here.
It was a fun quilt to piece and KarrieLyne was very good about also telling how to use the leftover scraps from the Layer Cake. I'll be posting photos of the quilt I created with the scraps as soon as I finish the binding.
My local quilter, Susie Peterson, quilted this for me. She suggested using a wavy pattern in the blocks.
It's a lot of quilting, so it's not super puffy. But I think it sort of goes with the fabrics and design of the quilt.
Since it is not super puffy it will make a nice tablecloth or table overlay.
The finished quilt measures 55 1/2 inches square.

That's really cute! I have a charm pack of that line that I haven't used yet... Now I have one extra idea!

What a gorgeous quilt - just my kind of thing. I can see the quilting is really dense but I like flat quilts - while the design is modern it gives it a kind of antique feel. Looking forward to seeing the scrappy quilt!
