A Small First Harvest

We picked green beans and a few tomatoes, eggplant and peppers today. Our garden is not going to be as plentiful as it has in years past, but I am sure it will give us many delicious treats.

I am very excited about the little white, dumpling peaches.

This is the first time in 5 years that the tree has produced fruit. That new fertilizer must have done the trick. We had to completely wrap the tree in netting to keep the mice/rats from eating the fruit and it worked. Delicious, juicy peaches are sitting on our kitchen counter tonight.

We had a little Father's Day celebration at our son's home this afternoon. Michael and Jenny prepared a yummy dinner and my mom made her famous cheesecake. It was a fun afternoon.
These kids are happy to have Uncle "KaKa" (Kyle) home from Brazil.
