I finally made my fabric choices for the Pretty {little} Pouch Swap on FLICKR. I literally have lost sleep over this one. My husband thinks I'm crazy, my son told me not to make my whole life about my blog, and my sister and I had a good laugh over ourselves yesterday (she's a people pleaser personality too). But, here are my choices for my partner, whose favorite color pallette is grey, mustard and green. What do you think? She also requested a fabric wallet, so I am going to follow that*darn*kat's tutorial. I'll try to remember to take progress photos as I make it next week.
I also cleaned out my pantry today. Now don't laugh...but I threw away a huge garbage bag full of food that had expired and the oldest date was...
2004!!!!
I asked you not to laugh.
What's the oldest thing you've ever found in your pantry?
Have a great weekend

I like those color choices; an unusual combination. I think the oldest we've ever found in the pantry is 4 years; so YOU are the winner!
That's going to be a great wallet! It's funny, I cleaned out a bunch of old sauce bottles from my fridge door earlier today, but the oldest was from 2010. Last time i cleaned out the pantry a few months back, I remember finding something from 2006. Eeek!
I'm an Army wife, and we move often enough that I don't have this problem. However, we've been helping my MIL do some cleaning out in preparation for kitchen remodeling, and she had things in her pantry, Jello and cake mixes and such, that were expired in 1991. We had an argument over throwing it out! MIL insisted it was still fine! She finally called the manufacturer in an effort to prove us wrong. Well, that only proved us right, so out all those things went! Makes my husband worry a bit less about her knowing she isn't quite as likely to give herself food poisoning!
Pretty fabric choices....can't wait to see the outcome.
Can't wait to see the finished wallet! Beautiful fabrics...earlier this year I checked my baking powder and it was from 1999.
Your fabric choices are lovely and match the brief perfectly. Yes, we all have to remind ourselves to live our life for us and not for the next post!
Love your fabric colours. I had a look at that tutorial - looks great. I'd love to give it a shot.
I love your colour choices and fabrics! My husband is the cook in our family and when he cleans out the pantry he is always throwing out old dried herbs! He seems to do a lot of doubling up!!1
