A few months ago I joined several different swaps through different blogs I follow or some I found on Flickr. The last few weeks I have been receiving the beautiful fabric charm squares that I already blogged about here and here. More recently I have been receiving the postcards from the Liberate Your Art Postcard swap and today I received the postcard from the Great Big Stitched postcard swap on Flickr. Look at the beautiful hand work in this postcard. It is so lovely and I am glad that Louise and Grace of Gloucestershire, England sent it in a special envelope, so it arrived in perfect condition!
These are the beautiful photo art postcards that I have received from Scotland, New York, Michigan, Oregon and Colorado. What fun this has been!
But I must say this package from Roz, in Australia, blew me away. Just look at all the great things my partner sent to me. Sew Happy Geek Mug Rug swap, hosted by Jenna, was a real fun swap. You can see all the great mug rugs here on the Flickr page.
Not only did Roz send a beautiful mug rug, but she made sure I always think of her and that it came all the way from Australia, with the cute little kangaroo on it and the matching coaster, too. Also included are the three little owl pin cushions, 2 fat quarters of really great fabric, a key chain (with Australia written on it), a pen and a handmade card!
Roslyn, I am truly touched by this beautiful gift.
My swaps are winding down and my quilt-alongs are almost caught up. I am still working on my bee blocks, but that is a year long commitment and very manageable, so I think I might have to start a swap or bee of my own...hmmm, what shall I start?
Thanks for stopping by,
