For the Birds

The sunflower are bending from the weight of all the seeds that have formed in the heads. It seems the birds have decided that our sunflowers make the perfect meal; breakfast, lunch or dinner. That's fine with me because I really just grow the flowers for their beauty not for the seeds.
I had fun playing with Kim Klassen's textures on this one.

Here's the formula I used:
Florabella Sunlight Action
Kim Klassen's textures
Water stained frame , soft light 100%
Canvas Magic, soft light 100%
Kim's "you are my sunshine" stamp

I finally have a few photos of my sweet granddaughter wearing the little outfit and bag I made her for her birthday using Sugar and Spice fabric. Doesn't she look adorable carrying her bag full of all her "treasures"?

I made the postcard for the Do What You Love  (Bloom) postcard swap. I love all these postcard swaps. I have been receiving the postcards from the Liberate Your Art swap that I joined a while ago and when I received this one in the mail last week, I knew I wanted to try to recreate it for my Bloom themed postcard. This beautiful Polaroid Painting is by Rhiannon Connelly in Scotland. Check out her website.

How do you think I did? I'll be sending this off to my swap partner in Canada.

I'll be announcing the next giveaway for my blogaversary, so come back soon.

Thanks for stopping by,

"di"

I really like your sunflower picture, aren't they big, beautiful, bright flowers.
Your grandaughter seems to really love her outfit. And your postcard is lovely.
You have been busy.

I have several sunflowers that are bowing their heavy heads like yours in the photo -- will make wonderful birdfeeders when the weather turns a bit cooler.

Love what you've done with this image, Diane. Very pretty! :)

(PS - I love postcard swaps. I may have to browse around your site for a bit...) Have a wonderful day!
