A little bit of this, a little bit of that

I am doing very well on my list for this week.
Here is my progress so far:
1. Make 2 Farmer's wife quilt blocks. I am officially a week behind now. Hopefully tomorrow I can get caught up.
2. Make 2 blocks for Baby Carrot's quilt
Made 4. All blocks are finished. Now, how shall I sash it?

It is made up of 4 rows of 4 -12.5" blocks

3. Make row 5 of Rockin Robin quiltalong. Finished
This was the hexagon row and I am terrified of hexagons. It must be a math thing or something.

Now I just need to sew the rows together and decide how to border it.
4. Make bee block for New Bee on the Block group.
This was Ella's turn to be queen and she chose this tear drop paper pieced block with Tula Pink and Heath grey.  Finished and in the mail.

5. Plan blocks for 3x6 quilting bee. I have to make 6 blocks by October 1. Sounds easy, right? This is what I came up with. What do you think? Should I make 5 more, one in each person's color choice, or should I start all over?

6. Make tomato jam Finished and blogged here.

And after dinner this evening I picked this lovely assortment from our garden.
Check back tomorrow to see if you are the winner of the mug rug.
I'm linking up again with Sarah...
Thanks for stopping by,

Love the Baby Carrot quilt. How about some skinny sashing in one of the bright colours. I think it would make each block pop out. Wow is this me talking? I always use white.

I'm jealous of your garden haul. We're already making plans of what to plant next year. I love your 3x6 block plan. Yay on the Carrot! I'd probably do white but colored sashing would be gorgeous as well.

I esp. like the Baby Carrot quilt. I'm not a quilter, but I'm artistic, and I stared at it for a liitle while and thought that the bright yellow would make a great sash--would make all the colors pop! It's a fantastic baby quilt!

Those veggies look wonderful!

You must have lots of energy!!!

So much eye candy Di!!! Baby Carrot top is SWEET;)
Hexagons would terrify me too in the same way as well!! The quilt top is sooo great though.

3x6 quilting bee---don't you dare redo that beauty of a block!!(please)

I have been making veggie sandwiches a lot lately. Today I had zucchini, snap peas, tomato, little radish and red onion and cream cheese---sooo good!!! Enjoy all those spectacular ones from your garden!

Baby carrot's quilt is looking wonderful! I love the playful prints and the block pattern... They compliment each other perfectly! What tutorial/ pattern did you use for that block? I think I may need to give it a try ;)
