Another lovely gift

Today I received the second of my Mug Rug/Goodie swap gifts. The lovely Natalie sent me a mug rug with a pinwheel made of rainbow print on a dark gray background. Just look at that great stippling she did. That is one thing I really need to practice, I really do suck at machine quilting. And if that was not enough, she also made a cute little pin cushion with a bee on it. How did she know I love bees?

Thanks, Natalie!

I started re-organizing my fabric last week and decided I really need to de-stash. That's when I saw the post on Julie's blog about a post on Jacque's that there is a collection of fabrics going on for an orphanage in Malawi. This is a doubly good thing to do because you get to de-stash, donate and also have a chance to win some lovely prizes. So hop on over to Jacque's blog and find out how you can donate some fabric, too.
Here's what I am sending. They are asking for 1 yard  or more minimum cuts(or close)  of cotton fabrics. I have approximately 14 yards of fabric here.

I will continue to de-stash and will be having a giveaway in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned for another giveaway in the near future.
Thanks fo stopping by,

"di"

Ooh, love the pinwheel and that stippling, on my list is to learn how to free-motion quilt.

Love the idea of the fabric giveaway. I lived in South Africa for 6 months and sponsored a creche when I was out there, it was lovely to be able to help them out in a practical way, and know that I was helping to set them up for a stronger future.

Yay! I'm glad you like it! I had no idea you liked bees, but they're just adorable, aren't they?!
