Admit None!

"It's not fair", she is heard saying, as you see the full grown, adult woman stomping her feet, crying and screaming. Then she crumbles to the ground in a heap and says, "I simply must go",  I have been working on my British accent and I am sure all my friends will want me there.
Ok, who am I kidding? There's no way I can go to the Fat Quarterly Retreat in London next June but I can dream, right?
The timing is just not right for me to attend the retreat in London. Darn! I'm trying to imagine what it would be like to have Annabella, Lynne, Susan, Katy, Hadley, Kat, Leila, Kerry, John, and many more of the bloggers who I admire in one room. Ok, I can imagine it because I was at Sewing Summit in October. where I met Jennifer, Cindy, Elena, Lee, Anne Marie, Chris, Darci and Dana (and lots more). I'm just being greedy and selfish and feeling sorry for myself. The real reason I can't go is because Mr. Romance and I already have our 40th anniversary trip planned and it begins in Berlin next June, just a few weeks after the Retreat!
Hopefully it will be a huge success and I can go the following year.

Be sure to come back on Monday to see what I am giving away for Sew, Mama, Sew's Giveaway Day.

One day you'll get to meet your new friends. Sounds like countdown for your awesome trip you have planned for your 40th!

And we would really, really like you to be here too! Will have to set up a place at a sewing machine with Skype for you!

I had a grown-up temper tantrum myself this morning, although it had to do with my kids, not this awesome sounding retreat. 40 years and a trip to Berlin? Sounds like a passable substitute. :)

Oh I'm already brimming with jealousy knowing who'll be there, and knowing I won't! At least you are traveling O/S in 2012- I'm having a year at home, saving for 2013and hopefully the US!!! Sewing Summit2013???

I am wearing my supremely disappointed face - so sad you can`t swing it and come over. It would be such fun to finally meet but we will one day, I know we will.

Awww, sorry you can't come out to play, but Berlin sounds like lots of fun! I'll keep everything crossed for the following year for you. I'm hoping I can make it to Sewing Summit next year too though, so maybe I'll be able to catch you there :o)
