Baby Steps

I have so many projects in different stages of construction I am thinking of starting a spreadsheet to keep it all straight. Right now I am working on:
1. Drapery panels for #4 son's loft. One is finished, one more to make.
2. + and x blocks for a swap. I finished 3 more blocks for this swap

3. The Swoon-along. No progress since last weekend.
4. The Rose Star Block Party. I finished my first block. The English Paper Piecing is a totally new technique for me. I like it but it is a very slow process.

5. Rockin Robin quilt needs binding. No progress
6. A quilt for a friend that needs to be completed by next weekend. I finished the quilt top this week, Yeah! Now to quilt and bind it.

I am stalking my partner in the For The Love of Solids Swap and awaiting my partner assignment for the Mouthy Stitches zippered pouch swap.
I have been in cahoots with some friends on two special projects...to be announced next month and I have started a quilting round robin with some international friends. I'll be talking about these things next month. I am so excited for all of them but don't want to say anything until all the ducks are in a row.
My one big finish for this week was the honey cowl that I knitted. Yes, I knitted it, (with lots of mistakes). It will help to keep me warm in Seattle at the end of the month. Wish I was there now to enjoy the snow they are having.

I'm linking up with AmyLouWho for Sew and Tell Friday. Pop over to her blog and see what everyone else is up to this week.

Thanks for stopping by,

Gorgeous blocks Di and well done for knitting the cowl - something I have never been able to do. Good luck with all your projects and plans - I`m getting busy too!

I LOVE your rose star block! I've only ever English pieced hexagons, which I'm crazy about, and would love to try other shapes.

I love the rose stars - they're the sort of thing that would tempt me to english paper piecing

I was about 1/3 way through my honey cowl and I ripped it all apart last night because of my mistakes.. At least I know I'm not the only one that makes them.

Wow... all of your projects are so beautiful! No wonder it's hard to focus on just one. lol I like having lots of projects going at once, though. It's certainly never boring that way!

Love the hens in the middle of your rose star, and your cowl looks lovely and snuggly, perfect for a trip to frozen climes! Definitely think a spreadsheet might help though ;o)

My word, you are talented! I'm totally loving the cowl. And just the term "international friends" makes me happy. :-)

Great job! I haven't tried English paper piecing yet. Still need to get hexagons under my belt first. I like your cowl.

I love your Honey Cowl! It's very "big" in the knitting world right now and I see why! I'm with you on having too many WIPs. I've vowed no new starts until I completely finish TWO quilts. Hold me to it, okay? ;) www.paperstarfish.prettyposies.com

I love it all! Those + and X blocks are so cute!

I also love that honey cowl. I need to make one. I don't really know how to knit, but I can figure it out, right?
