2012 Week 6

The 6th week of 2012 ended with a quick but fun celebration with our eldest son and his family. The baby is already one year old. It’s hard to believe that a year has past since I was privileged to be in the delivery room when little Olivia was born.

Reading stories, opening gifts, riding bikes in the street and watching Harry Potter 7…that was our weekend. It was a relaxing and fun, but quick, 2 days.

Mr. R also collected on his Christmas gift from Brent and Molly. He got to drive a Ferrari! He said it was fun but really scary. He was able to drive super fast on back roads in Scottsdale. So now he can cross one more thing off of his bucket list.

As far as sewing goes, this last week was spent working on my minis and my post for the Modern Mini Challenge. Be sure to come back and see what I have been working on for this project.
My day is February 16.
Modern Mini Challenge

One last thing that happened this weekend was I got to meet one of my blog friends, Danny Mommy For Reals, who lives in Arizona. It’s was so fun to meet in person. We had a nice time chatting over an iced tea. I got to meet her darling baby girl, Clara, and she got to meet my granddaughter, Davis. We cemented a friendship that started with blogging and now can continue as good friends.

The drive home was a beautiful one

until we hit this traffic.
Construction and freeway repairs made a 5 1/2 hour drive turn into an 8 hour marathon.

Thanks for stopping by,

Looks like a great weekend all round, and how fun that you got to meet Danny. Sorry the trip home was a little more lengthy than planned though!

Sounds like a great week. And driving a Ferarri - I think my husband would like that a bit too!

Is that Danny (Mommy for Real)? Danny`s great. Fab photos Di and can`t wait to see what you come up with for the mini challenge! BTW, you could have at least teased us and said that MR.R was having a mid life crisis and had splurged on a Ferrari!
