Comments

I have noticed that I am having trouble commenting on other people's blogs and wondered if anyone was having the same problem commenting on my blog.
I am thinking of changing my comments to something similar to what my sister has on her blog, but would like your input first.
So here's my question...
Are you having trouble leaving comments on my blog?
Would you object to having to enter your name, email, etc., just once?
After the first time you would not have to enter it again.
Pop me an email and let me know what you think
randomthoughtsdoordi(at)gmail(dot)com
I'll be back tomorrow with my recap of week 5 of 2012.

Thanks for stopping by,

"di"

Here is my comment. As far as I know blogger works well with comments. I leave a ton of them and have received many on my blog.

I've been having trouble with blogger when I'm logged in to blogger. Sometimes it will let me comment. Sometimes I have to log out and relog in to leave one. It's a pain. It doesn't seem to make a difference on whether or not it's a comment setting that just autoposts it or requires a word entry. I think it's a glitch in blogger, period.

I don't believe I have every had problems with yours Di! Although there is one (patchworkdelights??) where I have a problem for quite some time!
I wouldn't mind doing what you suggested though, if it helps!

I had that issue (With everyone's blogs,) a while ago. It was only when the blogs had the comment form on the actual page (Not a pop up box like yours) but after I upgraded internet explorer it went away!

I never have any problems leaving comments - but I am on a Mac using Firefox and logged into Google - but I know PC users often have problems leaving comments on mine and others-something to do with google chrome upgrade - I sometimes get logged out of google without my knowing why, but logging in again all seems fine.
Never had problems on yours x

Like lots of people I had big problems several months ago with blogger and now always log in each time I'm on the computer. I thought everything was fine until recently when I found I couldn't comment on some blogs I've followed for ages. I've switched from Internet Explorer to Google Chrome and that seems to have fixed things again - for now!

I never have problems leaving comments on yours but do now when commenting on Hadley`s and others. I have to go into Google Chrome to do so. Katy of Little Thistle knows all about why this is...perhaps you could drop her an email. On Katy`s advice, I changed from an embedded form to a pop up - I think that has helped, but you already have that anyway.

I'm not having any trouble leaving comments on your blog and I have to say I've not encountered problems on other blogs either. I do have a mac though and am logged into google and am using safari
I wouldn't have a problem with what you suggest though

I don't have problems leaving comments on yours but I do on others. Do you have problems on mine?

I have no problems with yours or any other blogs I follow but I use a Mac and Google Chrome. I think that there have been some issues with Internet Explorer.

I haven't had any issues, but some people have said they have had trouble with commenting on my blog.

I haven't been on line for a week or so. But other than that I have never had any trouble writing to you. If you need to switch over I am just fine putting in my email.

Di, I don't have problems with your blog as you have a pop-up form and not embedded below your post. But on other blogs I can't comment if I'm on Firefox, only on Chrome. I actually like the ones that store my info because the next time I comment it's already there. I do notice I have to hit the Publish Your Comment button twice to make it work!

Blogger has had some dodgy problems with IE and embedded comments below posts, although it seems to work fine in Chrome. I really wouldn't like you to change to be like your sister's though, because then you'd become another blog I couldn't comment on at work at lunchtime :o( Those sort of things get blocked by the 'fun' filter ;o)
