Mouthy Stitches

I have been running to the mailbox every time I hear the mail truck pass in the street. I can see the front yard from my sewing studio so as soon as I see or hear the mail truck go by I make a mad dash to retrieve the mail. Yesterday, I was rewarded! My Mouthy Stitches swap parcel arrived all the way from County Cork in Ireland. Sarah of Fairy Face Designs made this beautiful pouch and sent it to me!
I ran out first thing this morning to photograph it. I took some photos indoors and also outside. I'm glad I took them early. It's starting to get overcast and is expected to rain later today.

Sarah really paid attention to all the things I said I would like in a zippy pouch. Things like bright and happy colors, + and x blocks, linen and hand quilting.

She really took the zipper theme seriously and included another zipper on the back of the pouch. Look at that perfect installation of the zip.
She lined it with a lovely green dot (how did she know I love polka dots?)

And lined the inside with this gorgeous print. I wish I had better knowledge of fabrics. Anyone know what line this is from?
We were to include a FQ's worth of scraps and Sarah sent me some beauties.

Sarah really listened to my wants in this swap. I wanted a pouch large enough to hold a hand sewing or knitting project. Mission accomplished! This pouch not only holds my knitting project (I am making a sweater) but will hold the project as it grows. It measures approximately 10"x10".
Thank you Sarah for listening and making such a beautiful zippered pouch. I have already filled it with my current knitting project.

Thanks for stopping by,

"di"
