I love picking color palettes from photos that I have taken.
Here are two photos taken last year while on a cruise through the Panama Canal.
Here are two photos taken last year while on a cruise through the Panama Canal.
So I put the two together to make another entry into Lynne's Aurifil Thread contest.
I've found that my thread sampler for Aurifil and the color of the photos are not quite the same colors. I used the colors chosen by matching my photo to the thread sampler color card (the light blue is really teal on my color card).
Thanks for stopping by,

You are on a roll!
Love these images Di - you and me need to start taking more photos again. Do you remember the days of SSS, WW and Texture Tuseday?? Your latest `creation` is lovely!
i love these ones too! great choices!
Loving how much fun you're having with this, fab colours
I love how you're doing this and I love when you add the inspiration pic into the mosaic too.
You have such patience...and lovely pictures.
Your mosaics are a true inspiration to me! Lovely!
De, or should it be Di-liscious.
Love the way you used your photos. Loving your actual photos as much as the thread choices too!
very cool, how did you PICK the colors? in photoshop?
Love the colour combination. A clever idea to use a photo that caught your eye. I would love to know what program did you use to extract the colour clips from the photo?
PS: I hope you win the challenge, you would have fun making a Panama inspired quilt.
These are so yummie, especially the colorway from the fruit bowl. Great work!
