This Week in 2012, week 14

This week was most memorable, starting with a lovely surprise from Hadley, just because!
Such a sweet gesture on her part, sending me a + and x block to add to my slowly growing collection of one of my favorite blocks. Look at the super cute fabrics she used and she even color coordinated her little thank you note, all because I shipped her a few half-yards of some DS fabrics from Joann's.
Thanks, Hadley, I do love this block.

My order arrived from FatQuarter Shop so I was able to finish my Granny Square quilt.
What better way to show it off than to photograph it with a granny...
My cute mom and 4 of our adorable grandchildren.

Now I need to decide on the backing fabric and then I can finish this one.

We had a lovely, relaxing Easter Day lunch with about half of our family able to attend.

I just love that sweet photo of my granddaughter showing my mom the eggs she found in the backyard.

We also were able to Skype with our son and his family in Arizona. Don't you just love technology?

One more celebration, Evan's 32nd birthday was today and Kyle's 29th was on Thursday.
I tried a new, fun recipe, layered Neopolitan Rice Krispie Treats.
In place of strawberry flavored marshmallows or Fluff I used a jar of Fluff, with 1/4 cup strawberry jam and 1/2 teaspoon of strawberry extract with a dab of pink food coloring.
This stood in as their cake and dessert for the afternoon.

How was your week?

Thanks for stopping by,
