Blogger's Quilt Festival

Amy's Creative Side

Welcome to Random Thoughts Do or "di", my little corner of Blogland. One of my favorite quilts finished this year is the Rockin Robin quilt-along I completed in February. It's my entry to the Blogger's Quilt Festival, that wonderful feature that Amy puts together for all of us not going to market.
I used Ty Pennington's Impressions fabrics with a few other fabrics mixed in and Moda Bella Silver for the background fabric.

It was my first quilt-along and it was so much fun.
This quilt measures 72"x 72" and is quilted in wavy lines and circles.
The backing in a mixture of the fabrics used on the front.
You can read the original post about this quilt here and see all the other entries here.
I hope you will come back and visit again.

Thanks for stopping by,

"di"

Wow! I usually hesitate to use black in a quilt but you have definitely used it to its advantage - gorgeous!

Love your quilt and inspired photography location - dark flashes of colour work so well. Only know Ty Pennington from extreme makeover tv and being a Scot (more reserved than other Brits) could only be astounded at the emotion and mawkishness. However I will now check out that fabric...
