This was a week of firsts...
The first bean plants have popped
The very first baby tomato is growing. This will be a yellow pear tomato.
I started a new quilt with a new to me block. I don't know what it is called, do you?
I made the first of three fabric nesting bowls from Nova's pattern. The outside is a surprise for Giveaway Day.
We went to my goddaughter's graduation party on Saturday...only the party isn't until next weekend. Now that's a first for us. Have you ever shown up for a party a week early? Luckily they were not home, so we saved total embarrassment.
We went on our first boat ride on our association's lake...and we've lived here for nearly 27 years!
I had one of the best Mother's Day celebrations, ever. It was so relaxed and fun. The boys planned a relaxing ride on the lake. We ate a simple lunch of sandwiches from Subway and fruit. Kyle even made cookies. Then we went to our community pool and splashed, swam and played in the water.
The only thing that would have made Mother's day perfect was if these two guys were here too.
What a great momento Michael and his family created for me. It's everyone's handprint, and my favorite potted plant...a gigantic hydrangea.
