Father's Day Celebration

We had a faux Father's Day celebration yesterday. Just a few days early, but it was the only time we could all get together to honor Paul. We also celebrated a few June birthdays, since we will be gone during the kid's celebrations.
Remember that cake I posted about yesterday? Well thanks to one of my readers, Betty, who questioned the amount of butter, I have corrected a huge error. I hope you did not make the cake with 12 ounces of butter!
We enjoyed the cake for dessert last night after a yummy dinner and fun impromptu celebration. We had such a nice evening, with good weather. It was the first time we were able to sit outside for dinner this year. It did get cool so we moved inside for dessert and gift opening.

As always, we missed having son #1 and his family here, but we will see them next month and I can't wait.
Happy Father's Day to all the dads.

Thanks for stopping by,

"di"

Didn't Julia Child say you can never have to much butter? ha ha! That looks like a lovely celebration. I have to start preparing for ours. In fact, I'm thinking about making your cake this weekend :-)
