Last summer I fell in love with the Swoon pattern and bought the entire line of Joel Dewberry's Heirloom in the Citrine colorway. I made my first square and then another two and promptly filed the rest of the fabric in a WiP pile and went on to work on lots of other projects.
But then in January of this year Katy I'm a Ginger Monkey started a Swoon-Along on Flickr and I knew I had to join. This was just the kick I needed to finish this quilt.
I got all the blocks made and sewn together and sent it off to my long arm quilter to be quilted.
I brought it home and folded it into a corner of my work room and forgot about it until a few weeks ago when I remembered how much I love this quilt and want it finished for ME! I ordered the fabric for the binding and finished it this last weekend.
So here are a few photos of the finished Swoon.
It's so big, it was hard to photograph by myself.
I took it over to my neighbor's backyard to get a nice shot in the shade.
Under our fig tree.
This is how it looks now on our bed with one of the pillows I made from the HST remnants. I need to make a few more pillows with the rest of the HSTs.
The classic binding shot.
Cujo kinda wanted to be in a photo too. She heard there is a photo contest going on at Lily Pad Quilting
