Making Progress

Go ahead, count 'em. That's 54 hexie flowers all made and ready to go; only 20 more to go. All the fabrics are cut for the remaining flowers and I have started basting them. I am hoping to start sewing the flowers in rows next week.

I haven't even begun to think about what fabric I will be using for the background of this quilt. Maybe after I get a few rows sewn together I'll start auditioning background fabrics.

Thanks for stopping by,

do you have a specific pattern in mind? I've just sewn mine together to a big blob that'll keep growing, then I might just trim it square and add a simple border when it's big enough

Oooh, lovely! I've recently learned the value of "auditioning" background fabrics, and asking bloggy friends for opinions/help. I totally encourage you to do that!

Love that stack, they look so pretty! I am still on the sewing the hexies and have not made any flowers yet. Hopefully, will start on that this weekend. Looking forward to see what you pick for your background!
