Go ahead, count 'em. That's 54 hexie flowers all made and ready to go; only 20 more to go. All the fabrics are cut for the remaining flowers and I have started basting them. I am hoping to start sewing the flowers in rows next week.
I haven't even begun to think about what fabric I will be using for the background of this quilt. Maybe after I get a few rows sewn together I'll start auditioning background fabrics.
Thanks for stopping by,

What a pretty pile of hexies! You must be so excited to be getting so close to having them all made!
Lots of work there Diane....
Love your stack of hexies, they will be a beautiful quilt!!
Ooooh, how fun! I have been wanting to do a hexi project. Can't wait to see more of yours :-)
do you have a specific pattern in mind? I've just sewn mine together to a big blob that'll keep growing, then I might just trim it square and add a simple border when it's big enough
Oooh, lovely! I've recently learned the value of "auditioning" background fabrics, and asking bloggy friends for opinions/help. I totally encourage you to do that!
Can't wait to see this one xxx
