Sewing Lessons

Yesterday my granddaughter and I had our third sewing lesson together.
She is a fast learner

and in less than an hour she had this disappearing nine patch all sewn and pressed.

She really liked making the disappearing nine patch block.
It is the perfect learners block for a nearly 10 year old.
I decided she was ready for her own fat quarter stack of fabric
so I gave her a stack of J'Adore by Dear Stella.
What little girl wouldn't love the soft, sweet colors and prints of this fabric?
We added a few extra fat quarters to it so she can make a nice sized lap quilt.

If we are able to keep up with the lessons after school starts
she should have this finished by Halloween.

Thanks for stopping by,

Her own FQ stack! Man I am so jealous. Mind you she will be sewing better than me soon so she probably deserves it.
