Looking back at this week I still have nothing to show as a finish, but lots of fun has been happening and I have been learning a lot about iphone art. Here are a few of the photos I have played with:
These next two photos I snagged from Canadian Abroad's Instagram photos. They are shots from her vacation.
I especially like this one from the cheese monger at the farmer's market.
I pulled out an old UFO and I decided to turn it into a quilt for Katie's 100 Quilts for Kids campaign. If you have an interest in making a quilt for a child in need check out her post. Last year I wanted to make one and then my mom was injured and threw my world upside down, so this year I wanted to make sure that I joined in the group's efforts.
Last year because I was so busy with my mom, the lovely Amorette, offered to make a quilt to donate in honor of my mom and me. This year, I am proud to be able to make a quilt and I will probably donate it to Children's Hospital Cancer ward.
Did you use your 25% off everything coupon at Joann's this weekend? Not only did I use my coupon but I used my birthday gift card and was able to get all this for only $8.12! That's 5 yards of DS fabrics, 2-20" pillow forms and a new 6-1/2"x24-1/2" ruler ( I knelt on my old one and broke it).
I plan to have a big show and tell tomorrow. I finally finished binding my Swoon quilt. It's all washed and crinkly from the dryer. I hope I can get some not too sunny shots of it tomorrow. It's supposed to be 105'F here.
Thanks for stopping by,
