That would make a good name for an Australian swap, no?
My wonderful friend whom I have never met, Annabella, and I had a little private swap this summer. It all started last year when she made a comment that my tomato jam sounded like something she would like. I sent her a jar last year and then this year when my tomatoes were in abundance, she reminded me how much she enjoyed the jam...I'd call that a little hint, wouldn't you?
So this year I sent her a jar of the tomato jam, my homemade salsa, a jar of tomato confit and some orange, teal and grey fabric scraps for her Hexie MF quilt.
Bella lives in Marrakech, but spent several weeks at her mom's in England this summer, so she sent me some fun things from England.
Here's what she sent me:
She made me that cute British cushion cover. It fits an 18" form. It will have a place of honor in my sewing room, if I ever get it decorated. Then there is the cutest mug with the marching guardsman, the mixed spice to make the Christmas cake recipe from Katy's mom and what swap gift would not be complete without chocolate? (Mine didn't have chocolate...oops!)
Thank you Bella, I am so glad we are friends and look forward to the day we meet in person.
Thanks for stopping by,
