Do I Have Sewing A.D.D?

That's Attention Deficit Disorder. I can't seem to stop joining others in their quilt-alongs. I just keep starting new projects (but I do, eventually, finish what I start). This one is the #medallionalong on Instagram. The pattern is from this book by Alexia Abegg

This center medallion took me 2 hours to cut out and 2 hours to piece. Let me just say that templates and Y-seams are not my friend. I think the center is the hardest part of this quilt. And really, for these being my first ever Y-seams, I am pretty proud of my points.

I'll be showing progress photos as I complete each row.
If you want to know what I'm going for you can see Amanda's gorgeous quilt here.
She's almost finished. I love all the low volume fabrics she has used.

Only more border to go! #marcellemedallion #medallionalong

Lynne also has a beautiful start to her Marcelle Medallion Quilt too.

The fun thing about this quilt is you can change each row as you want to and make it your own.
Now I really need to work on getting ready for the Sew South Retreat.
And I just might be starting one more new project tomorrow.

Beuatiful block, and 2 hours is some serious time for cutting, but it will look stunning when it's all done, i love the original, I'm sure you'll make something equally as gorgeous. And don't worry about starting too many projects, it's the creative stop valve, your head might explode if you don't open the valve every so often!

You don't have sewing ADD. You just know a spectacular project when you see it and like to challenge yourself.

This look like a great pattern! All those 'y seams' would be enough to do my head in! And yes, we all have ADD, it comes with the quilting addiction!

I have real ADHD, but I'm also having to have a case of the 'la la las' right now when it comes to sewing in case I totally lose my mind!

I do love that block though, the end result will look spectacular!
