April...Modern Stitching Bee

Last year I was asked to join the Modern Stitching Bee by Rhonda of Quilter in the Gap.
I was a little hesitant to join another bee but then I saw all the wonderful talent in the bee and knew I wanted to be a part of this group.
This month is Sarah's month and she has chosen this fantastic spiderweb block and she even has a tutorial on her blog for how to draw the freezer paper pattern.
My two blocks came together beautifully but dare I say these are not fast to make?

Sarah wanted bright colors, a solid strip next to the center grey strip so she can stamp our names on them and some selvages used. I think I covered all her requests.

This is a perfect bee block because it would take forever to make enough of these blocks for a quilt all by yourself, but with the help of 11 other sewists you get a huge head start.
This was a fun month in the Modern Stitching Bee.

Pretty blocks Di - your post reminded me that I need to look to see whether I have any Kona Ash left as I said I would make one for Sarah if I had some.

It's a lovely block and I made one for her too, but as you say, not fast! I was thinking it may be a good block for our sttitch tease, but not sure now!

You are right about the time element- my first took nearly three hours! I love the reds in your blocks!
