Warm Hugs for Oklahoma

The recent tornadoes in Oklahoma have everyone wanting to know how they can help. There will be lots of relief efforts out there and the number one thing they need is money. You can donate $10 by texting the words RED CROSS to 90999. It's as simple as that.

But, we as quilters want to send warm hugs and that means sending a quilt. The Oklahoma City Modern Quilt Guild has put together a quilt drive. They are asking for quilts of any size, gently used or new. The quilts are due by June 30th. I am going to try my best to finish a quilt I have waiting to be quilted.

If I don't finish it I will send a gently used one.

The guild will also be making two quilts for a raffle to raise more money.

You can check out all the details on their blog post here.

You are a good, kind, compassionate woman and someone will love that quilt dearly and start collecting new treasures and memories to help recover from the horror they have been through.

Here, here Susan! You are a generous soul! The citizens of Moore have been through such devastation and your thoughtful gift will help one family on the way to recovery.
