Indie Star for Oklahoma

It's been a long time coming, but I have finally finished one of the Indie Star quilts that I pieced together last fall.
This one will be sent off to the Oklahoma City Modern Quilt Guild for their Tornado Relief project.
I used Jeni's Giant Star tutorial. It was super quick and easy to piece and I got two quilt tops out of the 16 fat quarter bundle.

For this one I used a teal green solid for the background fabric.

The backing is this cute bird print from IKEA.

I quilted it with straight lines following the triangular pattern of the seams. Just minimal quilting so I can get this in the mail before the due date of June 30.

I bound it in a purple fabric from my stash.
A quick finish that I put off for far too long.

I was dog sitting today and had a photo bomber...Miss Butterball.

Quilt Stats:
Name: Indie Star for Oklahoma
Fabric used: Art Gallery Indie by Pat Bravo and Art Gallery (color unknown) solid.
Backing: IKEA Bird Print
Bound with fabric from my stash
Thread: Pieced with Aurifil 50 wt.
Quilted by me with PermaCore thread, 40 wt. in Turquoise
Finished Size: 64" x 64"

This is another one I can check off my Q2 Finish-A-Long list.
