Mr. Romance

A few hours ago I sent this motley looking crew off to go fly fishing.

Today is Mr. Romance's birthday and by some weird magnetic pull in the cosmic universe all the boys were able to get the day off of work; so they left to drive 4.5 hours to Bishop, California, where they will have one day of fly fishing and then drive home.
This is the first away trip they have been able to take...I think ever; since they all have jobs and families and other commitments.
We pulled off a last minute family dinner tonight, complete with meat loaf and mashed potatoes and I even made two pies. Mr. R likes "birthday pie", not "birthday cake".

I don't know who was more excited, me or the guys. I planned the entire trip as a surprise for Paul but then ended up telling him last week. Ever since last year, when we went fly fishing in Utah, he has wanted to go again.

I hope they catch lots of fish and make lots of memories.
Happy Birthday to my Mr. Romance. He has been my love for 43 years and I cannot imagine my life without him. He answers to lots of names...Dad, Papa, Paul, Doc, Paul-Dogg, Stan, Honey, Rickey and Mr. Fun. He is the best father to our boys, a compassionate dentist, a generous son-in-law, a fun grandfather, a good friend and a caring father-in-law. But I am blessed with the best husband and for that I am grateful.

I truly believe God created you just for me and vice versa...we are so good together. I am so glad you have this time with the boys. I can hardly wait to hear all about it.
Happy Birthday, my L*O*V*E

What an awesome birthday gift for Mr. Romance. How nice that your son from Arizona was able to attend. Hope they take pictures and you share with us so we can see all the fish that they catch. Have a great weekend Di!

You only get the best husband if you are the best wife back. You two are made for each other. Love reading your posts about Mr R and your boys, Di.
