Inspired by Movies and TV

This week's challenge for the Pack Patch Mini QAL was to choose our favorite classic movie and interpret it into solid fabric choices. I have so many favorite movies and I don't know if the one I chose would be considered a classic, but I sure have watched it a lot. I absolutely love The 1999 version of The Thomas Crown Affair with Rene Russo and Pierce Brosnan.
Yes, he is dreamy to look at and she is so beautiful in the movie. The scenery and the costumes; the sexiness of the movie, all make it one of my all time favorites. The painting that is part of the plot was my inspiration for choosing the colors that I have used.

The next challenge was to use complimentary colors from the color wheel that represent your favorite TV show. I really enjoy detective/crime dramas going all the way back to Mannix and the Rockford Files right up to Law and Order. Some new favorites are Castle and Unforgotten. So representing the police force,  I have used blue and gold as my colors.

I was wondering how you were going to get from the Thomas Crown affair to a colour scheme!

Love your Thomas Crowne Affair block, and the movie too. We definitely had to think outside the box this week.
