My list for the 3rd quarter 2014 Finish Along had four things on it that I wanted to finish.
I've found that 4 is a good workable number for me.
The less pressure I put on myself, the more I tend to finish.
The Monkey Socks looked like this when I wrote the first post.
They were started while we were in Vancouver.
and now look like this:
You can read about them in this post, including why they are different colors.
When I wrote my list in July, I had 2 blocks made for the Single Girl quilt.
Each 21" square block is made of 4 paper pieced blocks.
I made 12 blocks.
I'm happy to say this quilt is finished and I blogged about it in this post at the end of August.
In April, my friend, Chase started a fun QAL on Flickr. The Pack Patch Mini QAL had some fun prompts for choosing fabrics for each block. Just 3.5" x 4.5", these little blocks were fun to make. My hope was to get this mini quilted by hand in time for the linky party.
I didn't quilt it by hand but I did finish it.
You can read about it in this post.
Also on my list was the selvage quilt.
Started at the beginning of the year, it has been on my finish along list for two quarters now.
When I wrote the third quarter list I only needed to make 12 more blocks.
This was the pile of 88 completed blocks waiting patiently for me to sew the last 12 blocks.
Finished and blogged in the nick of time.
So that means I finished 4/4. Yeah Me!
