Another lovely gift

Today I received the second of my Mug Rug/Goodie swap gifts. The lovely Natalie sent me a mug rug with a pinwheel made of rainbow print on a dark gray background. Just look at that great stippling she did. That is one thing I really need to practice, I really do suck at machine quilting. And if that was not enough, she also made a cute little pin cushion with a bee on it. How did she know I love bees?

Thanks, Natalie!

I started re-organizing my fabric last week and decided I really need to de-stash. That's when I saw the post on Julie's blog about a post on Jacque's that there is a collection of fabrics going on for an orphanage in Malawi. This is a doubly good thing to do because you get to de-stash, donate and also have a chance to win some lovely prizes. So hop on over to Jacque's blog and find out how you can donate some fabric, too.
Here's what I am sending. They are asking for 1 yard  or more minimum cuts(or close)  of cotton fabrics. I have approximately 14 yards of fabric here.

I will continue to de-stash and will be having a giveaway in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned for another giveaway in the near future.
Thanks fo stopping by,

Helping Disaster Victims in the South

The Pioneer Woman is running a giveaway of a different sort on her blog.
She is donating a quarter for every comment that is left on her post regarding the disastrous tornadoes that have ravaged the south.
Please head on over there and just leave a comment. It only takes a few minutes and when I was there she  already had over 13,000 comments! That's means she is  already personally donating. over $3000.
She also has several links set up so you can make your own larger donation to a charity of your choice.
I chose the Salvation Army.
At the end of the week she will randomly pick 4 winners and give away another $500 to the charity of the winner's choice.
Please help, these towns have been devastated by these storms and tornadoes.
