Shhh...Don't Tell Mom

Today I had one of those days.
You know the kind where you don't really feel all that great?
Not really sick.
But you don't dare get more than a a few minutes away from the toilet.
I know, TMI...
I wanted to finish my Big Little George quilt.
All I needed to do was sew on the binding and then finish by hand.
Easy, except I didn't have any fabric that would work.
I'm really liking the way this little quilt is turning out.

But it will have to wait until I can get to the fabric shop.
So what should I work on?
I didn't want to start a big project because that would mean I would have to clean up this mess.

So I started rummaging through the piles of scraps on the table
and found the leftovers from the Hands2Help quilt.

I just started sewing with a bag in mind but didn't have a design plan.
I ended up with this.

And now I have a Mother's Day gift for my mom.

I'm really happy with the way it turned out.
Maybe I'll do a tutorial for it.
I didn't take any construction photos, so that means I will have to make another one.
But I like this bag, so maybe I will.
It measures 10" wide by 15" high and is 5" deep.
I even used one of the cute little labels from Sweetwater Label-Crew, with my name on it.
And the best news is that my tummy is feeling better and i think I will get to the fabric store tomorrow.

Great job Diane! I wish I could just sew and make something without a pattern.
