In the Mail

I have been working on so many different projects, some I can't share quite yet in photos and others are in so many different stages of construction, I don't have proper photos to share with you.
I did get a bag made for my grandson today. I will try to photograph it tomorrow, when the light is better. It's really cute and I think he will like the "boyish" prints.
I have also finished my gift for my partner in Ishtar's swap. We were supposed to make something handmade, send a postcard and a sweet or some other food representative of our area where we live.  I don't want to spoil the surprise for Ursula in Spain, so I will just tell you it's really cute and something for the kitchen, so I can also post it to Needle and Spatula's Dinner Party link. I'll post after I know Ursula has received the package.
I have also been working on the hand sewing of the backing seams on my QAYG Circle Me Back to Amsterdam quilt. I have really enjoyed the process of making this quilt, especially since I know it is for me! The only problem has been the sticky residue from the spray basting adhesive.
I made the label and got Darlene's Hexagon Park quilt all packed up and shipped off to her in Florida.
Here's the label.
Our son returned home from his residency in Brazil. It is so great to have him home until he finds a place to live. He only returned home to California on Monday, has already worked one day and has 3 more interviews this week. I guess his residency in implant dentistry and oral surgery was worth missing him for the last 10 months!
Our garden is also doing well and I harvested the first big bowl of green beans today.
I don't have a lot of photos to share today, but hopefully this weekend I will.

This quilt is so pretty - loved seeing and feeling it yesterday - it is so "cozy"...Hopefully Darlene will feel the Love you made it with when she wraps herself in it.
