Baby Shower Surprises

I went to a baby shower this weekend.
I made Anna's fabulous divided basket pattern
to give as the gift.
I enjoy giving someone I love something I have made.

This is the chair in the nursery.
Cute, huh?

To match the nursery, I used the large chevrons and dots
from Half Moon by Moda.
I found this cute print at JoAnn's
for the lining.

Then I finished it with a sage green mini dot
and a brown stripe that came in my
Brown Stash Stack bundle
from Pink Castle Fabrics.

Megan is the eldest daughter
of my best friend.
It's hard to believe the little tow headed 4 year old
I met 26 years ago has grown to be such
a beautiful young woman and fabulous mommy.

They already have one little Snow White
and don't know if the little princess will be getting a brother or a sister.

So I went with the safe gift and loaded the basket with diapers
and a few other necessities.

and she loved the quilt...

I'm linking with Chase's Weekending today.

Wow, what a lovely set of gifts, I didn't realise the beautiful quilt was being gifted- how lucky, and just perfect.

The gifts are so fresh and special. It does boggle the mind how kids grow up and starting having kids of their own.

The quilt is beautiful and the basket is so fun. Thanks for sharing the link for it. I have a few showers coming up and that will be perfect to put all the handmade goodies in.

Lovely gifts!! I put up a little bucket of baby gifts for my friend. She is having a c section this coming Wednesday to bring the baby out due to some medical issue. We plan to visit them later the week and send the bucket and send a dozen lemon muffins over~ Thank you for link up and happy weekending~ xc

I love giving gifts that I've made, too! I just finished one of these baskets this weekend, for my brother and SIl for their nursery. I'm wondering if you used the fusible fleece on yours or not? I used it, but wasn't real please with how mine turned out, so I'm just wondering.

The churn dash quilt is great, too! I love how you did the differnent background on the couple blocks, too, like you did on your Retro Flowers Quilt.
